The Role
Debt Movement UK has opened a new regulated debt advice centre in Pencoed, Bridgend — the first operation of its kind in South Wales. We’re hiring Trainee Debt Advisors to build our front-end team from the ground up.
You’ll help people in financial difficulty understand their options and find the right debt solution. You’ll receive full training through a structured six-module programme, with close mentoring and a clear pathway to Senior Debt Advisor (£37,500+)
We’re regulated by the Insolvency Practitioners Association and we’re committed to quality over quantity. There are no sales targets, no commission, and no cold calling. Your salary is guaranteed, and your career progression is based on competence and qualifications — not how many calls you make.
Why This Is Different
If you’re currently working in the debt or insolvency sector, you’ll know that most firms pay a low base salary plus commission and call their advisors “Sales Executives”. We don’t. .
What to Expect
As a Trainee Debt Advisor, you’ll speak to people who are struggling with debt and help them find a way forward. You’ll learn how to assess someone’s financial situation, explain their options clearly, and guide them towards the right solution. Every conversation you have will make a genuine difference to someone’s life.
No debt or financial services experience is needed — we’ll teach you everything. What matters is that you’re a good listener, you communicate clearly on the phone, you have attention to detail and you genuinely want to help people.
You’ll start with a structured training programme covering everything from financial assessment techniques to regulatory standards, with close support from experienced colleagues. Quality always comes first — we’d rather you gave the right advice than rushed through calls.
