Overview
We are seeking a reliable and skilled Class 2 and Hiab Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in both flatbed and van driving, with a strong commitment to safety and efficiency and hold the relevant qualifications to use our hiab.
As our driver, you will be responsible for transporting goods to various locations, mainly from Essex and around London and South East of England, while ensuring the highest standards of service and compliance with all regulations. Your role is crucial in maintaining the flow of operations within our organisation.

06:00 - 16:00
Responsibilities
- Operate our flatbed and hiab safely and efficiently, adhering to all traffic laws and regulations.
- Transport goods to designated locations in a timely manner, ensuring delivery schedules are met.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including mileage, fuel consumption, and any incidents that occur during transit.
- Communicate effectively with warehouse staff and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential issues.
- Assist with loading and unloading cargo as required, ensuring proper handling of goods.
- Maintain a friendly and professional approach when attending sites and interacting with customers.
- Complete necessary paperwork.
Skills
- Must be over 25 years of age (as required by company insurance).
- Hold a clean driving licence.
- Experience operating HIAB and heavy machinery
- Proven track record as a delivery driver with a focus on safety and customer service.
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Background in commercial driving is essential, with appropriate licensing for operating lorries.
- Experience working in a warehouse environment is advantageous, particularly regarding loading procedures and safety protocols.
- Capable of working independently and as part of a team.
