Job Summary
We are a family run business based in Wrotham, Kent. We are looking for a Lifting Gear Fleet Maintenance Operative to join our team.
You will be responsible for inspecting, maintaining, repairing, and certifying a wide range of lifting gear including tackles, slings, chains, hooks, and other rigging equipment.

Duties
- Conduct thorough inspections of lifting gear and associated equipment to identify wear, damage, or defects.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks such as cleaning, lubrication, and minor repairs to ensure optimal performance.
- Carry out detailed repairs or refurbishments on lifting gear following manufacturer specifications and safety regulations.
- Certify equipment in accordance with industry standards and maintain accurate records of inspections and maintenance activities.
- Assist in the safe loading and unloading of equipment for transportation or deployment at various sites.
- Collaborate with safety teams to ensure all lifting gear meets compliance standards before use.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment to promote safety and efficiency at all times.
Requirements
- Proven experience in maintenance or inspection of lifting gear or similar equipment within industrial or construction settings.
- Knowledge of relevant safety standards and certification processes related to lifting equipment.
- Ability to read technical manuals, diagrams, and inspection reports accurately.
- Strong attention to detail with excellent problem-solving skills.
- Good physical condition with the ability to lift heavy objects safely and work at heights if required.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
