Job Overview
We are seeking a passionate and motivated Lived Experience Sustainability and Development Lead to help shape and strengthen our work through the power of lived experience.
This role is ideal for someone who has personal lived experience of addiction and is passionate about creating opportunities for others to use their experiences to inspire change, improve services, and support community engagement.
Working closely with individuals, communities, partners and supporters, you will identify, develop and support people with lived experience to play an active role in raising awareness, sharing their stories appropriately, influencing services, and helping to secure resources that enable our work to grow and reach more people
Key responsibilities
- Lead the recruitment, development and support of individuals with lived experience.
- Ensure lived experience voices are meaningfully represented across projects and activities.
- Identify opportunities for people to share their experiences safely and effectively.
- Build positive relationships with community organisations, supporters and stakeholders.
- Contribute to proposals, presentations, events and campaigns that help generate support and resources for the organisation.
- Deliver training, mentoring and development opportunities for lived experience representatives.
- Monitor impact and outcomes, ensuring high standards of quality and safeguarding.
- Travel across the region to meet with individuals, partners and community groups.
About you
- Personal lived experience of addiction and a passion for recovery and positive change
- An understanding of the challenges and barriers faced by people affected by addiction.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- Experience of supporting, coaching or developing others
- The confidence to engage with a range of stakeholders and audiences.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to work independently
- A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.

Pay: £14.00 per hour
Work Location: In person
