Key responsibilities
You will work on the Nightshift, the primary services undertaken are the emptying of street litter bins, the cleansing of the Town Centre, District Centres, and shop fronts.
To carry out your duties in a professional manner and to undertake tasks associated with the post safely, ensuring that your work activities do not expose any person to unnecessary risk.
Allocate the work of the team to members and monitor the standard and performance, reporting concerns as appropriate.
Ensure an effective service is provided at all times by the appropriate planning and monitoring of workload objectives and manual operatives.
Driving a range of vehicles with gross vehicle weight up to and including 7.5 tonnes. Including tippers and mechanical sweepers, and be responsible for daily vehicle checks and adjustments, brush maintenance, routine cleaning and defect reporting.
Responsible for the welfare and safety of individual work groups.
When working with a team to ensure that staff perform their duties efficiently and effectively in line with business objectives.
Ensuring that all relevant information and targets are communicated to all staff within the workgroup.
Skills, knowledge and experience
You will ensure the application of Health and Safety working practice, ensuring a safe environment for employees, customers and members of the public
You will hold a C1 driving licence
You will have experience in working to and achieving operational targets.
