The Role
We are seeking a reliable, professional, and customer-focused Night Receptionist to join our front-of-house team. As the face of the hotel overnight, you will ensure our guests receive outstanding service while maintaining the safety, security, and smooth operation of the hotel during night hours.
This role is ideal for someone who is confident working independently, remains calm under pressure, and enjoys providing exceptional hospitality.
Key Responsibilities
- Welcome late-arriving guests and complete efficient check-ins and check-outs.
- Manage overnight reservations and respond to guest enquiries in person, by telephone, and via email.
- Carry out night audit procedures and ensure all daily financial transactions are balanced accurately.
- Process payments and maintain accurate guest records.
- Monitor the security of the hotel, ensuring only authorised individuals access the premises.
- Conduct regular security and safety checks throughout the property.
- Respond promptly and professionally to guest requests, concerns, and emergencies.
- Prepare reports and hand over important information to the daytime reception team.
- Assist with administrative duties and ensure the reception area remains clean and organised.
- Work closely with housekeeping, maintenance, and management to ensure a seamless guest experience.
About You

- A calm, professional, and approachable manner.
- Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail.
- The ability to work independently and make sound decisions.
- Confidence using computer systems and hotel property management software.
- Good numerical skills and experience handling payments.
- Flexibility to work overnight shifts, including weekends and bank holidays.
- Previous experience in hotel reception, night audit, or hospitality is preferred, although full training will be provided for the right candidate.
