Job Summary
We are looking for an enthusiastic and customer-focused individual with a passion for cheese and an appreciation for quality food. The successful candidate will work at our cheese bar within Cardiff city centre and at our farmers market locations within Cardiff.
Availability to work Friday evening and Saturday day essential.
The position involves presenting and selling a wide selection of cheeses, maintaining excellent food safety and hygiene standards, and providing outstanding customer service in a lively retail environment.
Duties
- Cut & package a diverse selection of cheeses, ensuring they are presented attractively and labelled correctly
- Provide guidance and recommendations to customers regarding cheese types, pairings, and storage methods
- Preparation of cheese platters and samples for customers
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness, organisation, and food safety within the cheese section
Skills
- Previous experience in a food environment is highly desirable but not essential
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to educate customers about cheese
- Experience in serving or customer-facing roles within the hospitality industry preferable
- Organised with attention to detail to manage stock levels and presentation standards effectively
