Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Pharmacy Dispenser to join our team. As a Pharmacy Dispenser, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and accurate dispensing of medications to patients. Your primary responsibilities will include medication administration, assisting with pharmacy operations, and providing excellent patient care.
Duties:
- Dispense medications accurately and efficiently under the supervision of a pharmacist
- Prepare prescription orders and label medications appropriately
- Maintain inventory of medications and supplies, ensuring proper storage and organization
- Assist with medication compounding and packaging as needed
- Provide information and education to patients regarding their medications
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient care
- Adhere to all relevant legal requirements and pharmacy policies and procedures
- Maintain patient confidentiality at all times
Experience:
- Previous experience as a Pharmacy Technician or similar role is highly preferred
- Knowledge of medication administration procedures and pharmaceutical calculations
- Familiarity with pharmacy software systems and inventory management
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in medication dispensing
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective patient interaction
- Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a high level of professionalism
