Nursing Direct is looking for Complex Healthcare Assistants to join our homecare team in Isleworth. In this position, you will provide personalised support to an individual with complex medical and behavioural needs within a homecare setting.
You will assist with all aspects of daily living, including personal care, mobility support, and manual handling. Managing behaviours of concern is a key part of this role. You will be expected to respond calmly and effectively to behaviours such as self-injury or interference with medical equipment, ensuring safety and wellbeing at all times.
Key responsibilities:
- Support engagement in activities and daily routines
- Managing non-invasive ventilation (NIV)
- Administering gastrostomy feeds
- Delivering medication via PEG
- Support seizure management
- Promote independence, dignity, and emotional wellbeing
- Monitor and respond appropriately to behavioural needs
- Follow personalised care plans, risk assessments, and behaviour support strategies
- Maintain safeguarding, infection control, and compliance standards
Essential requirements:
- Minimum 6 months UK experience in a similar support role
- Calm, confident, and compassionate approach
- Enhanced DBS (issued within the last year or registered on the Update Service)
