**Job Overview:** We are currently looking for a dedicated Kitchen Porter to join our team in a bustling restaurant setting. As a Kitchen Porter, you will play a vital role in supporting the kitchen staff by ensuring cleanliness, organization, and efficiency in the kitchen area. The ideal candidate should have a passion for the culinary industry and be ready to assist in various tasks to maintain smooth kitchen operations. **Duties:** - Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards in the kitchen area - Assist with basic food preparation tasks as needed - Support kitchen staff in dishwashing and sanitizing kitchen equipment - Ensure all kitchen areas are organized and stocked with necessary supplies - Dispose of waste properly and adhere to recycling procedures - Follow food safety regulations and guidelines at all times - Collaborate with the culinary team to facilitate smooth workflow **Qualifications:** - Previous experience in a restaurant, hotel, or hospitality setting is advantageous - Basic knowledge of food preparation techniques is a plus - Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment - Strong communication skills and willingness to work as part of a team - Flexibility to work varied shifts including evenings, weekends, and holidays including Christmas Day *Note:* This job description provides an overview of the primary responsibilities of a Kitchen Porter but is not exhaustive.
