Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate Deputy Manager to join our dedicated care home team. Duties
- Assist the Home Manager in overseeing all aspects of care delivery within the facility, ensuring high standards of service are maintained at all times
- Supervise and support care staff, providing guidance on best practices in senior care, dementia, Alzheimer’s, and medication administration
- Contribute to the development and implementation of personalized care plans that meet residents’ physical, emotional, and social needs
- Monitor compliance with health and safety regulations, safeguarding policies, and legal requirements across the home
- Lead by example in promoting a positive environment that encourages teamwork, dignity, and respect for residents
- Support staff training initiatives to enhance skills in assisted living, nursing home procedures, and home care services
- Assist with managing medication administration processes accurately and responsibly
- Participate in recruitment, performance reviews, and staff supervision to build a motivated and competent team
Skills
- Proven experience in assisted living or nursing home environments with a strong understanding of senior care practices
- Demonstrated supervisory or management experience within a care home setting
- Deep knowledge of dementia care, Alzheimer’s support strategies, and person-centered approaches
- Skilled in developing comprehensive care plans tailored to individual residents’ needs
- Excellent leadership qualities with the ability to motivate and guide multidisciplinary teams
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in supervising medication administration and compliance procedures
- Effective communication skills for liaising with residents’ families, healthcare professionals, and team members
- Ability to handle challenging situations with empathy while maintaining professionalism and calmness
