Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Alterations Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out a wide range of garment alterations to a high standard, ensuring excellent workmanship and customer satisfaction. Responsibilities
- Perform fittings, alterations, repairs, and adjustments on a variety of garments to meet customer requirements
- Complete sewing, finishing, and pressing tasks to a high standard of quality
- Accurately interpret customer specifications and alteration instructions
- Ensure all garments are completed within agreed timescales
- Maintain a clean, organised, and safe work area
- Monitor and report any requirements for materials or supplies
- Conduct quality checks to ensure alterations meet company standards
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to maintain an efficient workflow
- Provide excellent customer service when discussing alteration requirements and fittings
Qualifications
- Strong sewing skills with a thorough understanding of garment construction and alteration techniques
- Previous experience in garment alterations, tailoring, or a similar textile environment
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
- Good organisational skills with the ability to manage workload effectively
- Strong communication skills and a customer-focused approach
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Flexibility to adapt to changing workloads and business needs

Pay: £13.46-£14.00 per hour
