Assistant Cook
Bilton House is a Christian Care home for Older people.
You will join a vastly experienced team at Bilton House, assisting maintaining a high standard within the home. we are looking for someone experienced.
As a assistant cook answerable to chef and manager.
You will be preparing nutritious homemade meals with the use of fresh produce, traditional food.
Able to bake and make Birthday cakes,
You will be serving meals, stock checks and rotation, ordering of food, working within a budget with cleaning and deep cleans,
involved in parties
liaising with the chef.
Able to work alongside an established team as well as working alone.
knowledge in diets to include the following is an advantage Vegetarian, vegan, diabetic, gluten free and pureed, soft bite diets
Any relevant paperwork required of the role. eg temperature checks and opening and closing checks.
we have a 5 star rating June 2026.
We are able to offer 21 hours a week which will involve working a rota over a 7 day period, and includes working alternative weekends which also include bank holidays.
Currently times 7am - 14.00pm or afternoon shifts as required to cover sickness and holidays these times to be arranged .
Rota's are not structured and flexibility is required.
Overtime available for sickness and holiday cover.
Candidates should be passionate about delivering a high standard and self motivated.
Relevant qualifications an advantage but not essential for the right candidate as training will be given.
