Overview
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Nursery Room Manager to oversee daily operations within a vibrant two to three year old room. The ideal candidate will possess strong management and leadership skills, along with a genuine passion for working with children. This role offers an opportunity to lead a team, ensure the delivery of high-quality childcare, and foster a nurturing environment for young learners. Applicants should be organised, communicative, and possess relevant experience in nursery or early childhood education.
Duties
- Manage the day-to-day running of the room, ensuring compliance with all regulatory standards and policies
- Lead, motivate, and supervise nursery staff to deliver excellent childcare and educational programmes
- Develop and implement engaging activities that support children's developmental needs
- Maintain effective communication with parents and guardians regarding their child's progress and well being
- Ensure health and safety procedures are strictly followed throughout the room
- Manage resources efficiently to optimise operational effectiveness
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the quality of childcare services provided
Requirements
- Proven management and leadership experience within a nursery or early childhood education environment
- Strong understanding of childcare practices, early childhood development, and regulatory requirements
- Experience working directly with children and familiarity with childcare activities
- Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written
- Ability to lead a team effectively whilst maintaining a nurturing environment for children
- Organised with the ability to multitask and prioritise responsibilities effectively
- Passionate about early childhood education with a caring attitude towards children’s wellbeing
- To be able to work full time, 40 hours per week
