Job Summary
Little Stars Education Limited has two settings that require a diligent and reliable cleaner to join their team. Little Stars Day Nursery is on Penn Hill Avenue in Poole (BH14 9LU) and Little Stars Pre-School is on East Way in Charminster (BH8 9PU).
The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and hygiene across our two settings.
Responsibilities
- Perform general cleaning duties including wiping, sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming floors.
- Clean and sanitise restrooms, kitchens, and other communal areas.
- Ensure all cleaning supplies are stocked and properly maintained.
- Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to the management team.
- Follow established cleaning protocols to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Work collaboratively with the nursery and pre-school team members to achieve cleanliness standards across the settings.
- Maintain a positive attitude while interacting with staff and clients.
Requirements
- Previous experience in an educational setting is advantageous but not mandatory.
- Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to tasks.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Good time management skills to ensure tasks are completed efficiently.
- Physical stamina to perform cleaning duties, including lifting and moving equipment as needed.
- A commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene.
- Full and valid driving license and access to own vehicle.

Hours of Work
The Poole setting is open from 8.00am - 6.00pm and the Bournemouth setting from 8.00am - 5.00pm. Ideal hours of work will be between 4.30pm and 9.00pm each day, but these can be discussed and flexible for the right candidate.
Pay: £12.71 per hour
