We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated professional to join our growing A Level provision at our Hastings campus as a Lecturer in Criminology & Law. Working as part of a dedicated and high-performing team, you will deliver engaging and inspiring lessons on our Criminology & Law programmes, supporting students to achieve their full potential and progress to higher education or employment.
Whether you are an experienced teacher, currently studying a Criminology-related degree, completing postgraduate study, or undertaking a PGCE, we would love to hear from candidates who can bring energy, passion and commitment to our learners.
This exciting role will include:
- Delivering high-quality teaching and learning on the Criminology & Law programmes.
- Monitoring student progress and implementing effective interventions to support achievement and attainment.
- Using student data and performance information to identify opportunities for improvement and raise standards.
- Contributing positively to an ambitious and supportive A Level team committed to student success.
If you can demonstrate the following, then we'd love to hear from you:
- A qualification in Criminology or a related subject, or current study towards an undergraduate, postgraduate or teaching qualification.
- Strong communication and organisational skills with the ability to engage and motivate learners.
- An understanding of effective teaching, learning and assessment practices.
- The ability to monitor learner progress, use data effectively and implement strategies to improve outcomes.
- For many of our teaching roles, we welcome applications from candidates at any stage of their career, including industry professionals with no/limited teaching experience. We are able to offer teacher development & qualifications to enable teaching success.

College location: Based at our Hastings Campus
Annual salary: Circa £30,000 - £39,000 (Additional salary points available for QTS/QTLS teachers with vast experience.)

Hours: Full time – 37 Hours/52.14 Weeks
