We’re looking for a driven and experienced Continuous Improvement Black Belt to act as a catalyst for change within our manufacturing site in Loughton, Essex. Reporting into the Site Operations & Systems Process Manager, you will be responsible for leading and delivering transformational improvement initiatives using Lean Six Sigma methodologies.
In this role you will work cross-functionally to identify improvement opportunities, coach teams, and embed a culture of continuous improvement – ensuring we deliver quality, efficiency and ‘right first time’ performance across the site.

To contribute to and actively participate in the implementation of the Quality continuous improvement strategy working with a range of appropriate business improvement tools and techniques in order to achieve specific outcomes

Train, coach and support Site Management teams and other stakeholders in the Lean Six Sigma methodology

Perform and guide in-depth Value Stream analysis together with site management team to identify opportunities

Play a leading role in the site non-conformance review (NCR/RCA) process to ensure root causes of issues are found and corrective actions are being implemented.

To provide appropriate management information in the form of reports and statistics relating to the Quality continuous improvement strategy

Use of lean tools to run improvement projects using a structured approach with clear targets, project plans and KPI’s

Establishes and manages systems for ‘right first time’ performance and incorporates this philosophy throughout the projects being implemented

To set up best practice for ways of working, systems and processes such as SOPs, change control

Working hours: Days: 09:00 to 17:00 Mon- Fri with a 30-minute unpaid lunch break each day (37.5 hours per week)

Lean Six Sigma Black Belt certification

Sound understanding of manufacturing processes and an ability to analyse complex factual information with the aim of development of manufacturing processes

Proven track record of delivering strategic change and improvement programmes to achieve principal objectives, within budget/business parameters and in accordance with Industry best practice (Six Sigma methodologies)

Significant experience successfully project and programme managing projects and strategic change

Good influential skills with the ability to demonstrate, communicate and explain best practises and their benefits to all levels of stakeholders

Ability to lead, manage, motivate and empower others in pursuit and achievement of common goals

Systematic problem solver, implementing solutions to solve root cause
