We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Senior Finance Assistant to lead our financial operations with energy and precision. Duties
- Day to day input and processing within Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable and banking activities across 3 branches.
- PO input, queries and matching to invoices.
- Driving AR and debt policy – all the way up to legal claims.
- Query resolution.
- Provide financial support and guidance to branch management teams, ensuring consistent financial processes and controls across all depots.
- Provide support to manage financial risk and maintain robust internal controls to protect company assets and support business objectives.
- Develop and maintain a strong understanding of the company's stock control and inventory management systems.
- Process international payments, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant regulations.
- Identify opportunities for business growth, cost reduction, and operational efficiency improvements.
- Maintain and manage customer and supplier records within the ERP system.
- Assisting the Finance Manager and the wider finance function where appropriate.
Experience
- Proven experience in transactional finance with a strong background in accounting operations.
- Demonstrated ability to manage accounts payable, accounts receivable and cash processes effectively..
- Prior supervisory experience leading finance teams or departments is highly desirable.
- Understanding of financial controls, budgeting processes, and external audit procedures.
- Excellent communication skills combined with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
