Overview
We are seeking enthusiastic and professional Casual Event Staff to join our team for a variety of events and functions. This role offers flexible hours and the opportunity to gain experience within the hospitality, catering, and guest services sectors. The ideal candidate will be personable, well-presented, and capable of delivering exceptional service in a fast-paced environment. Previous experience in hospitality or restaurant settings is advantageous but not essential, as training will be provided.
Duties
- Assist with setting up event spaces, including arranging tables, chairs, and catering stations
- Serve food and beverages to guests in a courteous and efficient manner
- Ensure food safety standards are maintained throughout service
- Support with food preparation tasks as required
- Provide excellent guest services by attending to guests’ needs and queries
- Clear tables promptly and assist with cleaning duties to maintain a tidy environment
- Support the catering team during events, ensuring smooth operation from start to finish
- Follow health and safety regulations at all times during service
Requirements
- Previous experience in hospitality, catering, or restaurant environments is desirable but not essential
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly and professional demeanour
- Knowledge of food safety standards and food handling procedures is advantageous
- Ability to work flexibly across various shifts, including evenings and weekends as required
- Good organisational skills with the ability to work efficiently under pressure
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn new skills
- Ability to stand for extended periods during event shifts
