The Opportunity
We are looking for an organised and proactive Recruitment Administrator to join our HR team and support the delivery of an efficient and positive recruitment and onboarding experience across the business. This role will play a key part in coordinating the full recruitment process, from advertising vacancies and arranging interviews through to onboarding new starters.
Alongside recruitment responsibilities, the role will also provide wider HR administrative support, helping to maintain accurate employee records and ensure compliance processes are completed effectively. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong organisational skills, attention to detail and a passion for delivering a professional and people-focused service.
Key Responsibilities
Recruitment:
- Support workforce planning by maintaining and updating job descriptions, person specifications and recruitment documentation
- Create and post job adverts across platforms including Indeed, NHS Jobs, Wessex LMC and social media
- Screen applications and coordinate shortlisting with hiring managers
- Arrange interviews and manage communication with candidates, managers, agencies and external stakeholders
- Prepare and issue offer letters, contracts and associated employment documentation
- Coordinate pre-employment checks including references, right to work, DBS checks, professional licence checks and ID verification
- Support onboarding and induction processes for new starters
- Produce recruitment reports and monitor KPIs including time-to-hire and recruitment activity
- Support recruitment events and continuous improvement projects
HR Administration:
- Maintain accurate employee and training records within the HR system
- Update employee records for new starters, leavers, sickness absence, holidays and contractual changes, ensuring information is accurate for payroll processing
- Maintain training records and ensure all certificates are accurately recorded and filed electronically
- Monitor probation periods and ensure review meetings and actions are completed
- Attend HR meetings, take accurate minutes and produce written records
- Manage the HR mailbox, responding to queries and directing correspondence appropriately
- Prepare HR documentation including contract amendments and employee correspondence
Experience
- Previous experience in recruitment, HR administration or a similar administrative role preferably within an HR function
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Experience coordinating recruitment processes from advertising through to onboarding
- Confident communication skills with the ability to liaise with candidates, managers and external stakeholders
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail when managing records and documentation
- Experience using HR systems and Microsoft Office
- Understanding of confidentiality, GDPR and data protection requirements
- Experience within healthcare, NHS or GP practice environments would be an advantage

We are ideally looking for someone able to work up to 24 hours per week between Monday and Thursday. Working pattern would be agreed during the interview.
