About the Role
We’re looking for a reliable and experienced Warehouse Picker and Packer to take charge of the warehouse and grow with our team. If you’ve worked in Toolstation, Screwfix, Gibbs, Buildbase, Travis Perkins, or Keyline, you’ll fit right in!
While full training will be provided, we need someone who already understands warehouse operations, stock control, and order fulfillment. You’ll play a key role in ensuring customer orders are picked, packed, and dispatched accurately and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
✔ Order Picking & Packing – Accurately pick and pack customer orders to ensure they are correct and securely packed for transit.
✔ Stock Control & Reporting – Monitor stock levels, report shortages, and assist with goods-in (unloading deliveries and checking stock).
✔ Warehouse Maintenance – Keep the warehouse clean, organised, and safe for efficient operations.
✔ Health & Safety Compliance – Follow all safety guidelines, including manual handling, PPE use, and mezzanine safety rules.
✔ Warehouse Management Systems – Use inventory software to track stock and process orders.
✔ Teamwork & Communication – Work closely with colleagues to ensure smooth dispatch operations and problem-solving.
Who We’re Looking For
✅ Warehouse Experience: At least 1 year in a similar role (picking, packing, stock control, or fulfillment).
✅ Reliability & Initiative: Someone trustworthy and proactive, who can take ownership of the warehouse.
✅ Attention to Detail: Ensuring orders are picked and packed correctly every time.
✅ Physical Fitness: Ability to lift and move heavy items safely (some building materials can be weighty).
✅ Team Player Mentality: Willingness to help and work as part of a close-knit team.
✅ Forklift Experience (Preferred, Not Essential): Training can be provided.
Working Hours & Benefits
-> Hours: Monday - Friday, 9:00 AM - 4:30 PM (40 hours per week)
-> Salary: £13 per hour (negotiable based on experience)
