The Role
We are currently hiring for a female tutor to support a student in Year 2
* Significant SEN/OT experience is necessary *
Pay: From £20 per hour
Location: N12- sessions take place in the student's home
Commitment: 11 hours per week
Schedule: Monday 1:30-3:30PM, Tuesday 8:30-11:30AM, Thursday 8:30AM- 3:30PM, Friday 8:30-11:30AM (11 hours within the scheduled, available hours of the family)
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys engaging with young people and would like to make a meaningful impact through personalised, one-to-one teaching.
Essential Requirements
Please read carefully — applicants must meet the following essential criteria:
- MUST have a background in SEN or OT (REQUIRED)
- MUST be available weekly for 11 hours (REQUIRED)
- Family have requested a FEMALE tutor for this role due to needs of student (REQUIRED)
- QTS, PGCE or an equivalent teaching certificate (DESIRABLE)
- MUST be able to prove that you have the right to work in the UK on a self-employed basis (REQUIRED)
- MUST be able to access a printer as and when necessary- resources are provided however, tutors are expected to print from time to time (REQUIRED)
- Responsibilities:
- Provide 1:1 tutoring sessions, focusing on their individual learning needs and goals.
- Build relationships and rapport with students
- Make sessions fun and interactive
- Monitor and assess student progress, adapting teaching methods as necessary.
- Encourage and motivate students to build confidence in their academic abilities
