Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and energetic Full Time Kitchen Porter to join our dynamic team. This vital role ensures the cleanliness, organization, and smooth operation of our kitchen environment. Responsibilities
- Maintain cleanliness of all kitchen areas, including floors, surfaces, utensils, and equipment to uphold health and safety standards
- Assist with food preparation tasks under the supervision of chefs and kitchen staff
- Support the movement of ingredients, supplies, and dishware around the kitchen efficiently
- Ensure waste disposal is handled properly and recycling procedures are followed
- Help with basic cooking tasks as directed, contributing to meal preparation when needed
- Keep storage areas organized and stock levels monitored for supplies and ingredients
- Follow all health and safety regulations diligently to maintain a safe working environment
Skills
- Experience in food preparation or kitchen support roles preferred
- Knowledge of restaurant or hospitality environments, including hotel experience, is advantageous
- Strong understanding of kitchen hygiene standards and safety procedures
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting with attention to detail
- Good physical stamina for standing, lifting, and moving items throughout shifts
- Excellent teamwork skills with a positive attitude towards supporting colleagues
- Basic culinary skills or experience in serving or hospitality are a plus
