Kelwel Care is looking for passionate and dedicated Residential Children's Support Workers to join our established children's home in Letchworth Garden City.

Essential Requirements
- A full UK driving licence and business insurance is essential of this role.
- You must be able to work the 2 days on, 4 days off shift pattern, including sleep-in shifts.

The Role
As a Residential Children's Support Worker, you will support children and young people up to the age of 18, helping them develop independence, confidence, and essential life skills while providing high-quality, child-centred care in a safe and supportive home.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide emotional and practical support, promoting independence, resilience, and personal development.
- Support with daily living skills, including budgeting, cooking, cleaning, attending appointments, and accessing education, training, or employment.
- Transport young people safely to education, appointments, family contact, and recreational activities where required.
- Build positive, trusting relationships that promote stability and positive outcomes.
- Safeguard the welfare of children and young people, following all safeguarding policies and procedures.
- Contribute to care planning, key work sessions, placement reviews, and risk assessments.
- Maintain accurate and professional records.
- Work collaboratively with social workers, education providers, healthcare professionals, and families.
- Promote a safe, welcoming, and therapeutic home environment.
- Work flexibly, including evenings, weekends, bank holidays, and sleep-in shifts.
About You
We're looking for someone who is compassionate, resilient, and committed to helping children and young people reach their potential.
You will have:
- Experience working with children or young people in residential care, education, or a similar setting (preferred).
- A Level 3 qualification in Residential Childcare, Health & Social Care, or a related field (desirable but not essential).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A positive, proactive approach and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
- A commitment to delivering outstanding, child-centred care.
- An Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
