Warehouse Operative – The Festive Lighting Company
Location: Blackmoor, Wellington.
Hours: Full-time, Monday–Friday, core hours of 9-5 (seasonal overtime available)

About the role
We are looking for a reliable and practical Warehouse Operative to join our warehouse team, supporting the preparation, refurbishment, and dispatch of festive lighting equipment for hire and sale.
This is a hands-on role working as part of a team, following clear instructions to ensure products are prepared safely, accurately, and to the required quality standards. You will work under the direction of the Warehouse Manager and supervisor and be an important part of keeping our operations running smoothly, particularly during our busy seasonal periods.
Key responsibilities
- Carry out manual handling, loading, unloading, and movement of products within the warehouse using safe working practices
- Refurbish, clean, repair, and prepare lighting products in line with work instructions
- Pick, pack, and prepare orders for dispatch, checking items for damage or defects
- Support goods-in and returns processing as required
- Maintain good housekeeping standards, keeping work areas clean, tidy, and safe
- Follow all health and safety procedures, particularly when working with electrical products or equipment
- Report any defects, damage, or safety concerns to the Warehouse Manager
- Undertake delivery or driving duties only where trained, authorised, and insured

- Basic understanding of workplace health and safety (training provided)
- Previous warehouse or manual work experience is helpful but not essential

Additional information

Driving duties may be required for some roles, subject to age, licence, training, and company insurance.
The ability to operate a forklift would be advantageous but not essential.
