Care Coordinator – Domiciliary Care

Rate: £30,225
Hours: 37.5 hours per week

We are recruiting a Care Coordinator to join a growing domiciliary care service in Southampton. This is a hands-on coordination role suited to an organised, proactive care professional who enjoys managing staff, coordinating care delivery, and ensuring excellent outcomes for service users.
The Role
- Create and manage staff rotas using electronic rostering systems
- Allocate care visits efficiently to meet service user needs
- Liaise with service users, families, care staff, and healthcare professionals
- Respond to changes in care needs and manage emergency cover
- Support recruitment, onboarding, and induction of new care workers
- Monitor attendance, punctuality, and staff availability
- Maintain accurate care records and compliance documentation
- Support quality assurance, spot checks, and care reviews
- Assist the Registered Manager with day-to-day operations
- Participate in on-call rota where applicable
Requirements
- Previous experience within domiciliary care — essential
- Experience coordinating care staff or managing rotas — essential
- Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle — essential
- Strong organisational, communication, and IT skills
- Ability to prioritise and work well under pressure
- Level 3 Diploma in Adult Care (desirable)
- Knowledge of CQC Fundamental Standards and safeguarding (desirable)
- Must have the right to work in the UK
