Duties
- Assist with materials handling, including loading, unloading, and moving inventory using manual methods or forklifts
- Operate forklift equipment safely to load and unload goods efficiently
- Manage shipping and receiving tasks by verifying deliveries, preparing shipments, and maintaining accurate documentation
- Support warehouse management system (WMS) entries to track inventory levels and locations accurately
- Pick, pack, stock shelves, and prepare orders for dispatch with attention to detail and quality standards
- Conduct regular quality control checks to ensure products meet company specifications
- Maintain a clean, organized workspace by stocking supplies, disposing of waste properly, and adhering to safety protocols
Skills
- Proven experience in warehouse operations or similar logistics roles is preferred but not required; enthusiasm for learning is valued!
- Strong materials handling skills with the ability to lift heavy loads safely and efficiently
- Mechanical knowledge or experience operating forklifts is highly desirable; certification is a plus
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) for inventory tracking and order processing
- Knowledge of shipping & receiving procedures to ensure timely and accurate deliveries
- Ability to perform picking & packing tasks meticulously while maintaining high quality standards
- Good understanding of stock management practices including stocking techniques and inventory control
- Awareness of safety procedures related to heavy lifting, load & unload activities, and equipment operation
