Salary: £50,000 Basic + Overtime + Company Van & Fuel Card
Schedule: Monday to Friday – Day Shifts
Job Overview
We are currently seeking an experienced and motivated Mobile HGV Technician to join our growing team in the Marlborough area. This is a field-based role where you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing Heavy Goods Vehicles (HGVs) at customer sites, ensuring minimal downtime and high standards of safety and reliability.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out routine maintenance, servicing, and repairs on a wide range of HGVs
- Diagnose faults using diagnostic equipment and rectify mechanical and electrical issues
- Perform inspections in line with DVSA standards
- Attend breakdowns and provide roadside assistance when required
- Complete all relevant paperwork accurately and efficiently
- Ensure all work is carried out to health and safety regulations
- Maintain company vehicle, tools, and equipment in good condition
Requirements
- Proven experience as an HGV Technician, Mechanic, or Fitter
- Relevant qualifications (e.g., NVQ Level 3 in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance or equivalent)
- Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills
- Full UK driving licence (HGV licence desirable but not essential)
- Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively
- Good communication and customer service skills
