Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Housekeeper to join our team at Macdonald Cardrona hotel The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and organisation within residential, commercial, or hospitality environments. The Housekeeper will ensure that all spaces are hygienic, welcoming, and well-presented, contributing to a positive experience for clients and guests alike.
Responsibilities
- Clean and sanitise all designated areas, including bedrooms, bathrooms, kitchens, and communal spaces
- Change bed linens and organise rooms to a high standard of presentation
- Perform general janitorial duties such as dusting, vacuuming, mopping, and waste disposal
- Restock supplies such as toiletries, towels, and cleaning materials as needed
- Follow health and safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment
- Assist with specialised cleaning tasks for commercial or hotel settings as required
- Maintain cleaning equipment in good condition and report any maintenance issues promptly
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing guest or client requests courteously and efficiently
Qualifications
- Previous experience in janitorial work, hotel housekeeping, or commercial cleaning is preferred but not essential; training will be provided for the right candidate
- Experience in cooking or food preparation is considered an advantage but is not mandatory
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively
- Excellent attention to detail to ensure high standards of cleanliness and presentation
- Good communication skills and a friendly demeanour to deliver outstanding customer service
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Flexibility to adapt to different working hours and environments as needed
