Job description
At Nationwide, we’re making banking fairer, more rewarding and for the good of society. Within Business Banking, the Business Lending Products team sits at the heart of the lending experience, supporting UK businesses to grow and flourish by delivering compelling lending propositions that evolve with customer needs.
As a Product Manager in the Business Lending Products team, you will play a leading role in the management and development of products that put customers first. You will play a key role in driving the product review programme, identifying opportunities to enhance products and processes, and ensuring alignment with customer needs, the external landscape and the internal operating environment.
Working end-to-end across design, delivery, and performance, you will deliver high-quality analysis and insight, supporting effective product management, reporting and governance.
In this fast-paced environment, you will collaborate across Group Business Banking and beyond to solve complex product and business challenges, manage and implement change and develop practical, value-driven solutions.
We are happy to consider flexible working approaches to help you perform at your best.
At Nationwide we offer hybrid working wherever possible. More rewarding relationships are supported through our hybrid approach, bringing colleagues together across our UK wide estate, whilst also supporting generous access to home working. We value our time in the office to solve problems, to learn, and to feel connected.
For this job you'll spend at least two days per week, or if part time you'll spend 40% of your working time, based at our Glasgow office. If you’re based at our Glasgow office, this will apply from 1 April 2027 and ahead of that there will be a need to regularly connect with colleagues for collaboration events. If your application is successful, your hiring manager will provide further details on how this works. You can also find out more about our approach to hybrid working here .
Virgin Money is now part of Nationwide
Nationwide acquired Virgin Money in October 2024. Virgin Money continues to serve customers on the high street, and there will be a phased and considered integration over the coming years.
You’ll be employed by Nationwide from day one, delivering real impact and benefitting from a highly competitive range of benefits. We’re a workplace where you’re rewarded, recognised and celebrated.
If we receive a high volume of relevant applications, we may close the advert earlier than the advertised date, so please apply as soon as you can.
What you’ll be doing
The Business Lending Products team is a proactive, innovative, and growing function responsible for developing, implementing, managing, monitoring, and reporting on the Business Lending product suite.
Operating across the end-to-end product lifecycle, the team plays a critical role in ensuring products remain fit for purpose for customers and aligned to regulatory standards. We set high standards, ensuring every decision starts and finishes with the customer in mind, challenging the status quo and delivering at pace and with quality.
We are on an exciting journey to build our Business Banking proposition to better serve UK businesses. With the customer at the heart of everything we do, you will be part of a committed team focused on managing Business Lending products that support businesses to start, grow, and flourish.
About you
As a minimum you’ll have:
Experience working as a product manager, product owner, or in a similar role managing products and delivering change
Experience in managing end-to-end reviews of complex products and/or processes
Demonstrated ability to put customers at the heart of decision-making, by applying strong analytical skills and using insights to shape products and journeys
Demonstrated ability to deliver outcomes that ensure compliance with regulatory requirements

Our customer first behaviours put customers and members at the heart of how we work together. They are the set of behaviours that every colleague needs to display, in every role:
