Salary: Up to £40,309.08 per year (depending on level of experience, training and qualification)

We have an opportunity for a Registered Children's Nurse to join their team of staff in the Wards department.
This is a full-time role for 37.5 hours a week. The role holder will be required to cover a flexible shift pattern.
Duties of this role include:
- Deliver high-quality, evidence-based nursing care to children and young people.

Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care in partnership with patients, families, and the wider clinical team.

Monitor and record patients’ conditions accurately, escalating concerns to senior staff as required.

Administer medicines and treatments safely in line with NMC standards and CHG policies.

Provide age-appropriate care, supporting children, young people, and their families with compassion and sensitivity.

Ensure the safeguarding of children and young people, recognising and escalating any concerns appropriately.

Adhere to infection prevention, health and safety, and clinical governance standards at all times.

Maintain accurate and timely documentation in line with NMC, CQC, and CHG requirements.
Applicants should meet the following criteria:
- Registered Children’s Nurse (RSCN / RN (Child)) with current NMC registration.

Clinical experience in acute paediatrics or relevant children’s services.

Strong knowledge of safeguarding, infection control, and paediatric nursing standards.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with children, families, and professionals.

Ability to remain calm and deliver high-quality care in challenging or stressful situations.

Evidence of commitment to professional development.

Postgraduate qualification or specialist training in paediatric nursing.

Previous experience in both inpatient and outpatient/day case settings.

Competency in paediatric life support (PILS or equivalent).

Experience working in both NHS and independent healthcare environments.

Involvement in audit, quality improvement, or service development projects.
