Summary
We are seeking a dedicated 3.5t Delivery Driver to join our team. This role is vital in ensuring timely delivery of our bespoke enclosures and supporting our commitment to excellent customer service.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate a 3.5-tonne vehicle to deliver sheet metal products across the UK.
- Load and unload goods with care, ensuring product integrity ensuring products are securely strapped down.
- Use of forklift.
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation and keep vehicle records up to date.
- Communicate effectively with the dispatch team and customers to maintain relations.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies.
- Ensure the vehicle is well-maintained and report any issues promptly.
- Truck cleaning inside & out to maintain a high standard of cleanliness.
- Assist with warehouse tasks as needed - some assembly on occasion when not out driving to assist the fitting team ( use of hand tools, manual handling experience) - training will be given.
Qualifications
- Valid UK driving license.
- Valid forklift license.
- Proven experience as a delivery driver or in a similar role.
- Experience with assembly and fitting or general hand tool experience.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Strong organisational skills.
- Knowledge of GB road regulations.
- Experience with flatbed transportation is advantageous.
Core working hours are 7:30am - 16:00pm Monday to Friday with overtime a.m./p.m. as and when required.
