Salary: £43,050 per annum plus Essential Car User Allowance

A Day in the Life of a Fire Risk Assessor
As a Fire Risk Assessor, you will provide competent and independent fire safety expertise across our property portfolio, ensuring fire risks are identified, assessed and effectively managed in accordance with legal, regulatory and organisational requirements.
You will play a vital role in protecting customers, colleagues and visitors while supporting the organisation in meeting its responsibilities as a Responsible Person and, where applicable, an Accountable Person under the Building Safety Act 2022.
Working closely with a range of internal and external stakeholders, you will use your professional judgement to provide clear advice, support compliance activities and contribute to a positive safety culture across the organisation.

We're seeking a qualified and experienced Fire Risk Assessor who can provide expert fire safety advice and support the organisation in maintaining compliance across its property portfolio.
Essential criteria:

Recognised Fire Risk Assessment qualification (e.g. NEBOSH Fire Safety Certificate, Level 3/4 Fire Risk Assessment qualification or equivalent).

Evidence of ongoing Continuous Professional Development (CPD) in fire safety.

Demonstrable experience undertaking Fire Risk Assessments across residential and non-residential buildings.

Strong working knowledge of fire safety legislation and regulatory requirements, including the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005.

Ability to analyse risk, apply professional judgement and communicate clear, proportionate recommendations.

Ability to communicate complex technical information clearly and accessibly to a range of audiences.

Experience working within a regulated or compliance-focused environment.

Ability to manage competing priorities and work effectively with minimal supervision.
You'll be a proactive and collaborative professional with a strong commitment to safety, capable of building effective relationships with colleagues, customers and contractors while delivering high-quality outcomes.
