Pharmacy Assistant / Dispenser – Belfast
McKay Pharmacy is currently seeking a Pharmacy Assistant / Dispenser to join our Belfast branch. The pharmacy is located beside a very busy group of GP practices and has well-established relationships within the local community.
Working Hours
- Monday to Friday: 8.30am – 6.00pm
We are ideally looking for an employee to cover the above hours. Applicants seeking part-time work will be considered; however, availability must match these hours and should be clearly stated in your CV.
The Role
The successful candidate will work across both:
- The counter, dealing with patient queries and retail sales
- The dispensary, supporting the pharmacy team with dispensing and prescription processing
You will work alongside a talented and knowledgeable team of Pharmacists and Dispensing Technicians, helping to deliver a range of commissioned pharmacy services and high-quality patient care.
Essential Criteria
- Previous experience in a busy pharmacy retail role
- Ability to deal with high-volume dispensing and prescription processing
- IT literate, with familiarity using Windows-based computer systems
- Excellent attention to detail and high levels of accuracy
Desirable Criteria
- Qualified in Dispensing / Pharmacy Services (or equivalent) to Level 2
- Previous experience working in a pharmacy
- Working knowledge of the McLernons Pharmacy Software System
