The Maintenance Handyperson will support the safe, comfortable and well-maintained operation of AE Care Group Limited’s residential and dementia care home by carrying out general maintenance, minor repairs, routine checks and practical support across the premises. The role involves maintaining a clean, safe and homely environment for residents, staff and visitors; responding promptly to maintenance issues; supporting health and safety compliance; keeping accurate maintenance records; and escalating risks, defects or specialist repair needs to manager
Experience and Qualifications
· Previous experience in a maintenance, handyperson, facilities, caretaker, property services or similar practical role is desirable.
· Experience working in a care home, healthcare, supported living, school, hospitality or another regulated environment is desirable.
· Basic practical skills in areas such as general repairs, painting and decorating, basic plumbing, basic joinery, grounds maintenance and safe use of hand tools are expected.
· Good understanding of health and safety, fire safety, infection prevention and safe working practices is desirable.
· Relevant training or qualifications in maintenance, facilities, health and safety, fire safety, COSHH, manual handling or legionella awareness are desirable.
· Willingness to complete mandatory training, site-specific checks, maintenance procedures and ongoing development required by the home.gement without delay.
Pay: £14.00 per hour
