About the Role
We are looking for an experienced professional to oversee and quality-check the support workers placed by the local authority to care for young, vulnerable children, including children with special care needs, in our provision. You will act as an independent point of oversight, visiting placements, reviewing standards of care, and ensuring council-placed workers are meeting required safeguarding and welfare standards.
Requirements
- Qualification: Level 5 (or higher) in Leadership & Management (e.g. Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care & Children’s and Young People’s Services, Residential Childcare pathway, or equivalent)
- Experience: Minimum 2 years’ experience working directly with young, vulnerable children, including children with special care needs
- Experience overseeing or reviewing the work of other carers/support workers is desirable
- Strong understanding of safeguarding standards and local authority placement requirements
- Confident, independent-minded, and comfortable holding others to account
