Overview
We are seeking a skilled and reliable tyre technician to join our team in Totton at Best Autocentres. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge and hands-on experience with various tools, ensuring efficient tyre maintenance and replacement services. Duties
- Remove and replace tyres on a variety of vehicle types using hand tools and power tools
- Conduct tyre inspections to identify damage, wear, or punctures
- Perform wheel balancing and alignment assistance as needed
- Maintain tyre levels and organise stock efficiently
- Assist customers with tyre-related enquiries, providing excellent customer service
- Conduct routine vehicle maintenance tasks related to tyres and wheels
- Ensure all work areas are kept clean, organised, and compliant with safety regulations
- Operate machinery safely and effectively during tyre fitting procedures
Qualifications
- Proven mechanical knowledge with experience in tyre fitting or automotive maintenance preferred
- Proficiency in using hand tools such as wrenches, screwdrivers, and tyre levers
- Familiarity with power tools utilised in vehicle servicing
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety standards
- Excellent customer service skills with a professional attitude
- Previous experience in vehicle maintenance or related roles is advantageous but not essential; training will be provided for the right candidate
