Event Manager – Events & Catering Operations
We are looking for a hands-on, hardworking, and highly motivated Event Manager to join our growing events and catering team. This role is perfect for someone who thrives in fast-paced live event environments, enjoys leading from the front, and is passionate about delivering outstanding customer experiences.
As a company, we operate across a wide range of events including festivals, sporting events, exhibitions, corporate activations, public events, and private functions throughout the UK. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring our events and catering events run smoothly from setup through to pack down.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee live events across catering and entertainment services
- Lead teams on-site and ensure high operational standards are maintained at all times
- Coordinate event setups, service delivery, stock management, and pack downs
- Ensure catering operations are efficient, compliant, and customer focused
- Act as the main point of contact on-site for staff, clients, and event organisers
- Ensure all equipment, vehicles, and operational assets are event-ready
- Support staff management including briefing teams, delegating tasks, and maintaining morale
- Deliver exceptional customer service and act as a strong brand ambassador
- Assist with logistics planning, vehicle loading, and operational preparation
- Maintain health & safety and food hygiene standards across all operations
- Work closely with senior management to continuously improve systems and event delivery
Essential Requirements
- Previous experience working within live events
- Experience within catering or street food operations
- Comfortable working in fast-paced and demanding environments
- Happy to work away from home, including weekends and overnight stays
- Willing to camp at events when required (you will need your own tent)
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Full UK driving licence
- Ability to think on your feet and react to situations as they arise
- Flexible and positive attitude with a hands-on approach
Desirable Skills
- Experience managing teams at festivals or large-scale events
- Trailer towing or HGV experience/licence
- Knowledge of event logistics and stock control
- Food Hygiene qualifications
- Experience within festivals, corporate events, or public catering environments

This is not a desk-based management role — we are looking for someone who is prepared to get stuck in, lead by example, and help drive the business forward operationally on-site.
In terms of work position this in the first instance is a temporary role however there is scope for it to become a more permanent role. This is not suitable for someone looking for Monday to Friday 9-5.
Pay: £24,420.00-£35,000.00 per year
