We are looking for an Assistant Manager for our exciting leisure venue in the Barcode Plymouth. Candidates should ideally have at least 1 year's management experience in a retail/leisure/restaurant/bar environment.

JOB DESCRIPTION – Assistant Manager
Reports to – General Manager, Area Manager, Managing Director.
Responsible for – all adventure golf staff members.
The Assistant Manager role is responsible for all of the duties and responsibilities outlined below including adventure golf assistant duties and responsibilities and bar duties.
· responsible for the daily running of the site including:
· assist in managing the golf staff and making sure they deliver a consistently high level of customer service
· organise staff rotas, monitoring staff hours and processing holiday requests
· organising cover for ill/sick staff where appropriate
· oversee all group and party bookings and make sure all bookings are organised and filed properly
· liaise with other centre partners for group bookings and marketing opportunities
. monitor and record sales figures
· responsible for cash handling, safe totals, till reports, refunds, and change replenishment
· ensure staff keep the golf, pay booth and toilet areas clean and tidy and ensure daily cleaning duties are followed
· Assist managing the bar, stock take, preparing food, drinks and cocktails. Check ID's and ensure the bar is running in compliance with our policies.
· ensure golf staff fully participate in all marketing and promotional activity
· assist in the hiring of new golf assistants & supervisors
· deal with staff discipline issues where appropriate
· deal with enquiries through the website
· deal with customer complaints and ensure incidents requiring first aid properly recorded and dealt with
· assist in the maintenance of the site, including structural, electrical, and plumbing problems through maintenance contractor
· monitor stock (golf clubs, balls, scorecards etc) and replenish where appropriate
Adventure Golf Assistant Manager Duties and Responsibilities.
· Ensure all company policies & procedures and all legal requirements, including Health and Safety issues, are adhered to.
· Keyholder responsibilities including following correct Opening & Closing procedures; being available by telephone at all times (within reason) and being able to attend the property in under 30 minutes.
· Cash-handling responsibilities including ringing through sales (cash, credit/debit cards & cheques), dealing with deposits, being able to make change and do pay-outs as required.
· Ensure the very best standards of cleanliness throughout the unit.
· Able to handle all customer enquiries including bookings.
· Responsible for providing excellent service and making sure other members of staff present the same positive and helpful image.
· Willingness to work a flexible schedule
· Other duties as assigned.
