Duties & Responsibilities:
- Goods In – Receive and unload deliveries, verifying quantities and part accuracy, booking goods into the ERP system, replenishing stock bins, and storing items in designated locations
- Goods Out – Process and dispatch goods for customer sales orders, ensuring accurate booking and shipment of parts
- Issue of Kits – ensuring kits are picked in a timely fashion and are accurate, meeting production requirements
- Maintain the ERP system, ensuring stock records, inventory levels, and part numbers remain accurate and up to date
- Ensure all goods are correctly identified, labelled, and stored in their designated locations
- Manage consumable stock and issue materials to the shop floor as required
- Promptly communicate stock discrepancies, shortages, or inventory errors to the Purchasing team
- Monitor stock levels and maintain safety stock parameters within the ERP system, working closely with Department Heads and the Manufacturing Manager
- Maintain a clean, organised, and safe stores area and yard
- Manage recycling and waste disposal processes in line with company procedures
- Conduct and support regular stock takes and inventory audits
- Identify, develop, and implement continuous improvements to stock control processes and inventory management practices
Working Hours:
39 hours per week
- Monday - Thursday 08:00 - 17:00 (with half hour unpaid lunch break)
- Friday 08:00 - 13:00
Skills & Experience:
- Proficient in computer systems, with previous experience using ERP software
- Strong understanding of stock control principles and associated business processes
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Highly organised and efficient, with the ability to prioritise workload and work independently using initiative
- Experienced in operating forklift trucks and in possession of a valid forklift licence
