Health & Safety Co-Ordinator – Property Sector
Role Overview
We are seeking a proactive and organised Health & Safety Co-Ordinator to support the management of health, safety and compliance across our property portfolio. The successful candidate will help ensure that properties, contractors, employees and tenants operate in accordance with relevant legislation, company procedures and industry best practice.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the implementation of health and safety policies and procedures across all properties.
- Conduct regular site inspections and identify hazards or unsafe practices.
- Coordinate and monitor health and safety compliance activities.
- Review contractor documentation and monitor compliance with approved procedures.
- Understand, review and assist with the preparation of Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS).
- Ensure RAMS are suitable, sufficient and communicated to relevant employees and contractors before work begins.
- Monitor that work is carried out in accordance with approved RAMS.
- Assist with general risk assessments, fire risk assessments and task-specific assessments.
- Maintain accurate health and safety records, inspection reports and compliance registers.
- Coordinate statutory inspections, testing and maintenance programmes.
- Support the investigation and reporting of accidents, incidents and near misses.
- Track corrective actions and ensure they are completed within agreed timescales.
- Assist with contractor inductions, toolbox talks and health and safety briefings.
- Provide practical health and safety advice to property managers, contractors, employees and tenants.
- Keep up to date with relevant health and safety legislation and industry guidance.
- Support Markerstudy Group’s (client) in meeting their health and safety requirements by providing practical guidance, reviewing relevant documentation and ensuring appropriate procedures and controls are in place.
Essential Qualifications and Experience
- IOSH health and safety qualification or equivalent.
- Practical understanding of health and safety requirements within the property, facilities management, construction or maintenance sector.
- Good understanding of Risk Assessments and RAMS.
Pay: £28,000.00-£30,000.00 per year
