Chantilly Patisserie Limited is a well-established independently owned business situated in Paignton, on the south coast of Devon.
Chantilly Patisserie manufacture’s high quality handmade deliciously stylish and innovative desserts, all handmade then frozen and sold wholesale.
We are seeking an evening (15:00 to 23:30) Bakery Assistant to join our team in our bakery setting. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food production and culinary arts, with a keen interest in baking and food preparation.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation and baking of various bakery items
- Support the head baker in daily tasks
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation in the bakery kitchen
- Ensure compliance with food safety standards and regulations
- Help with inventory management and stock rotation
- Provide excellent customer service when needed
Qualifications/Experience
- Previous experience in a bakery, restaurant kitchen, or similar environment is desirable
- Knowledge of food safety practices and procedures
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
- Passion for baking and culinary arts
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills
Food Hygiene level 2 is desirable (training will be given) and previous knowledge and training of safe working practices is an advantage.
