As a Programming Assistant , you’ll assist in the delivery of our Summer of Play activities across the Summer holiday period from 18th July - 31st August 2026. You will be primarily based in our indoor Play Space - welcoming visitors, running daily storytelling sessions and supporting craft activities. By doing so, you’ll help to create an enjoyable, memorable, and safe experience for everyone.
Salary: £13.25 per hour
Contract Duration: Fixed term contract until 31st August 2026
Working Hours: The hours advertised for this role is reflective of 12 months, however the actual hours you’ll be required to work are 153 hours across the term of the contract. The amount of hours you work each month may vary, however your salary will be paid in equal instalments over the term of your contract.
Working Pattern: You will work on a rota pattern which includes working every other weekend, as well as alternating between Monday-Wednesday/Thursday-Friday.
Interview Date: Friday 3rd July
Proposed Start Date: Induction will take place W/C Monday 13th July, with your rota starting from Saturday 18th July.

What you'll be doing:You will work across our Summer of Play programme - providing an enthusiastic and warm welcome, engaging with visitors in playful activities, collecting feedback, facilitating storytelling sessions, and ensuring our play spaces are maintained to the highest quality.
You will be primarily be based in our indoor Play Space and will be delivering storytelling sessions and supporting craft activities.
Understanding how and why we engage our supporters is key. You’ll help link everything we do back to our cause and the on-going work we do.
You’ll deliver high standards of presentation on site and ensure all our communications with our visitors around the property is clear and consistent.
