Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Assistant General Manager to support the overall operations at SageHouse, a new hospitality establishment in the heart of Formby. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in ensuring exceptional guest experiences, managing daily activities, and leading a team to uphold the organisation’s standards of service excellence. Duties
- Assist the General Manager in overseeing daily operations to ensure smooth functioning of all departments.
- Deliver exceptional, warm, 'hands-on' service to our guests, throughout each service.
- Knowledge of Barista Service, Cocktail Mixology and Restaurant Service is required.
- Lead and motivate staff to deliver outstanding guest services, maintaining high standards of hospitality within our restaurant, cocktail bar and private event space.
- Coordinate with various teams to ensure guest satisfaction, resolving any issues promptly and professionally.
- Support in organising staff schedules/rotas, training programmes, and performance evaluations.
- Monitor financial performance, including budgeting and cost control measures, to optimise operational efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, company policies, and industry standards.
- Contribute to marketing initiatives and promotional activities to enhance the establishment’s reputation and visibility.
- Act as a point of contact for guest requests, dietary requirements, handling feedback and ensuring their needs are met with professionalism.
Skills
- Proven management experience within the restaurant and general hospitality sector or similar customer service environment.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and develop team members.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a focus on guest relations.
- Organised with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively in a fast-paced setting.
- Sound understanding of guest services principles and hospitality best practices.
- Ability to handle challenging situations with tact and diplomacy.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations relevant to the hospitality industry is desirable. This role is ideal for motivated individuals seeking to advance their management career within a reputable organisation committed to delivering exceptional guest experiences.

Pay: £24,950.00-£40,000.00 per year
