Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Nursery Manager to lead and oversee the daily operations of a vibrant early childhood education setting. In this role, you will be responsible for creating a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment where young children can thrive. Your leadership will ensure that high standards of childcare and early learning are maintained, fostering positive relationships with children, families, and staff alike. Responsibilities
- Lead the overall management of the nursery, ensuring compliance with all regulatory standards and best practices in childcare and OFSTED inspections
- Supervise and support nursery staff, fostering a collaborative team environment focused on delivering exceptional care and education
- Develop and implement engaging early childhood programs that promote learning, development, and social skills
- Maintain open and effective communication with parents and guardians to keep them informed and involved in their child's progress
- Oversee daily operations including health and safety procedures, staffing schedules, and resource management
- Ensure all staff are trained in child safeguarding policies, first aid, and other essential childcare practices
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the quality of care, curriculum delivery, and overall nursery environment and the fourth coming EYFS changes in September 2026
Experience
- Proven management experience within a childcare or nursery setting for the last 5 years
- Extensive experience working directly with children across early childhood stages
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a diverse team of childcare professionals
- Knowledge of early childhood education principles, child development milestones, and relevant regulations
- Excellent communication skills in English to effectively liaise with staff, parents, and external agencies

Pay: From £33,000.00 per year
