Overview
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Barista to join our vibrant team. Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a variety of hot and cold beverages, including coffee, tea, and specialised drinks
- Ensure all food safety standards are adhered to at all times
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the coffee station and dining area
- Serve customers efficiently with a friendly attitude, taking orders accurately
- Handle cash transactions and operate the point-of-sale system with basic maths skills
- Assist with food preparation tasks when required, such as assembling snacks or pastries
- Manage time effectively during busy periods to minimise wait times
- Uphold high standards of hygiene and safety in accordance with company policies
Requirements
- Previous Barista experience is essential
- Knowledge of food safety standards and procedures
- Experience in serving customers in a fast-paced environment
- Basic food preparation skills and understanding of hygiene practices
- Good time management skills to prioritise tasks efficiently during busy periods
- Ability to perform basic maths accurately for cash handling and transactions
- Friendly, approachable manner with excellent communication skills
- Ability to work well within a team and maintain a positive attitude throughout shifts
