Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and dependable Site Labourer / Delivery Driver to join our small dynamic team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to combine hands-on site work with efficient delivery responsibilities, ensuring smooth operations both on-site and on the road. You will be responsible for assisting with various site tasks such as erecting site fencing, loading and unloading equipment and delivering materials safely and promptly.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate a 4x4 vehicle or commercial vehicle with various trailers to deliver goods / equipment to designated locations, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations.
- Assist with loading, unloading, and organizing materials / equipment to various job sites, including heavy lifting when necessary.
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation and communicate effectively with team members and clients regarding delivery schedules or issues
- Support site operations by performing general labour tasks such as site cleanup, material handling, and equipment setup
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections before each shift to ensure safety compliance and report any maintenance needs
- Follow health and safety protocols diligently during all activities to prevent accidents or injuries
- Collaborate with team members to optimize delivery routes and improve overall workflow efficiency
Experience
- Previous experience as a delivery driver or van driver is highly desirable along with experience in towing trailers and must have category BE entitlement on licence
- Familiarity with commercial driving regulations and safe driving practices
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication skills for clear interaction with team members, clients, and supervisors
- Valid CSCS card essential
- Valid driver’s category BE license suitable for operating commercial vehicles; clean driving record preferred and must be aged 25 or over
