Job Summary
We are seeking a proactive and skilled Domestic Gas Engineer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, repairing, and inspecting domestic gas appliances and systems in residential properties. Responsibilities
- Conduct installation, servicing, and repairs of domestic gas appliances such as boilers, cookers, and central heating systems.
- Perform safety inspections and tests on gas systems to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Diagnose faults accurately using specialized tools and techniques, then execute effective solutions promptly.
- Maintain detailed records of work performed, including inspection reports and service logs.
- Adhere strictly to health and safety protocols to protect yourself, colleagues, and customers during all operations.
- Assist with minor plumbing, carpentry, or electrical tasks related to gas appliance installation or repair when necessary.
- Use hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and assembly techniques to complete tasks efficiently and safely.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Domestic Gas Engineer with relevant certifications such as Gas Safe registration or equivalent.
- Mechanical knowledge of gas appliances, plumbing systems, and basic math skills for measurements and calculations.
- Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and heavy lifting gear safely.
- Familiarity with carpentry and assembly work related to appliance installation or repair projects.
- Strong understanding of health & safety regulations specific to gas work environments.
- Valid driver’s license with experience in commercial driving preferred for travel between sites.
- Additional skills such as plumbing, welding, or general mechanical expertise are highly desirable.
