Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Barista to join our vibrant team. Duties
- Prepare and serve a variety of hot and cold beverages, including coffee, tea, and specialised drinks, ensuring consistency and quality.
- Operate coffee machines, grinders, and other equipment safely and efficiently, adhering to food safety standards.
- Provide exceptional customer service by taking orders, answering questions, and offering recommendations with a friendly attitude.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the counter area, including cleaning equipment and sanitising work surfaces regularly.
- Handle cash transactions accurately using the point-of-sale system, including giving correct change.
- Restock supplies as needed to ensure smooth operation during shifts.
- Follow food safety regulations diligently to ensure the health and safety of customers and staff.
Experience
- Previous barista experience is desirable but not essential; training will be provided for suitable candidates.
- Knowledge of food safety standards is advantageous.
- Experience in serving customers in a fast-paced environment helps deliver excellent service efficiently.
- Skills in food preparation such as assembling sandwiches or snacks are beneficial but not mandatory.
- Basic maths skills are necessary for handling transactions accurately.
- Strong time management skills are essential to prioritise tasks during busy periods and maintain service quality under pressure.
