We have recently opened a second site in central Manchester and as such, we’re looking for a Functional Skills Tutor to join our growing team.
About the Role
- Deliver engaging, interactive, student-centred lessons
- Plan and prepare lessons, resources and assessments aligned to the curriculum
- Provide a balance of theory and practical learning
- Support learners through regular feedback and tailored guidance
- Assess, track and monitor student progress
- Maintain accurate records, including attendance and progress reports
- Contribute to curriculum development and continuous improvement
- Uphold high safeguarding standards at all times
Skills
- Experience delivering Functional Skills or similar education programmes
- Ability to engage and motivate learners with different needs and backgrounds
- Strong organisational and planning skills
- A commitment to creating a safe, inclusive and supportive learning environment
- A collaborative, values-led approach aligned with Strive Academy
- A relevant teaching or training qualification (or willingness to work towards one) is desirable
